Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Math Tutor, one with teaching experience, to provide creative and clear math tutoring to children in grades 5-12, at all levels. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Math, or a Math-based subject along with the ability to develop creative and engaging lesson plans tailored to the individual's needs. This role requires effective communication skills, patience, and a passion for helping students achieve their educational goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement customized lesson plans that cater to the unique learning styles of each student.
• Provide tutoring in a variety of subjects including Math (Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus), Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), and Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical).
• Utilize learning technology and educational resources to enhance the tutoring experience.
• Assist students with homework assignments and exam preparation.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary to ensure understanding and retention of material.
• Collaborate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns regarding academic performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, with a strong understanding of curriculum development and lesson planning.
• Proficiency in various Math specialties.
• Familiarity with special education techniques is a plus; experience working with students who have diverse learning needs is preferred.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $ $52.00 per hour
