Job Description

The Leasing Agent is responsible for executing the leasing and marketing efforts of the multi-family residential community. This individual serves as the first point of contact for prospective residents and is critical in delivering exceptional customer service, meeting occupancy goals, and supporting the operational needs of the property. This position requires professionalism, sales aptitude, and a strong focus on resident satisfaction. The Leasing Agent works closely with the on-site management team to maintain the property's image and performance, in alignment with company policies and occupancy goals.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and tour prospective residents, highlighting community features and available units.
  • Conduct leasing presentations and effectively communicate the value of the community.
  • Follow up with prospects through calls, emails, and CRM systems to convert leads to leases.
  • Accurately process applications and prepare lease documents in accordance with company guidelines and Fair Housing laws.
  • Assist in executing marketing strategies, outreach efforts, and resident retention initiatives.
  • Support move-in and move-out processes, including inspections and coordination with the maintenance team.
  • Maintain knowledge of local market trends and competitor properties.
  • Handle resident inquiries, concerns, and service requests promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to leasing activity, traffic, and renewals.
  • Ensure office, models, and tour paths are clean and presentable at all times.
  • Uphold community policies and ensure compliance with housing laws and company standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of leasing, sales, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays.
  • Familiarity with Fair Housing and local landlord-tenant laws.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
