The position supports both the active contracts as well as new contract support requests in facilitation of business capture, operations, new technology insertion. Close relationship building with the customers ensure operational readiness and compliance.

AT&T is seeking an experienced IT engineer to join our team. This is a hands-on role requiring a seasoned professional with a comprehensive IT background to support our systems including networking, compute/virtual infrastructure operations, voice call manager systems, and new technology integration. The team also handles day-to-day security compliance and user administration. The successful candidate will lead the integration, configuration, deployment, security remediation, and operations of AT&T Managed CWAN Services for the VPO business unit.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in Linux-based operating systems: Red Hat, CentOS, VMware, KVM
  • \n
  • Windows operating system environment support
  • \n
  • Multi-platform support of OEM appliances, Windows and Linux VMware based appliances
  • \n
  • Mentoring junior and mid-level staff in best practices for installation and operations
  • \n
  • VMware Systems Administration (vCenter, vSphere, Horizon EUC)
  • \n
  • Patching and remediation of monitored systems and networks with the team
  • \n
  • Tier 3+ service support, interfacing with Tier 2
  • \n
  • IT service delivery, assurance, and operations
  • \n
  • Assist in developing new shared services (product deployments, customized solutions)
  • \n
  • Proficiency in scripting: Linux Bash, Windows PowerShell, etc. for deployment of applications and system administration support
  • \n
  • Providing technical implementation support for security compliance and system accreditation processes
  • \n

Required Qualifications:
    \n
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • \n
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Virtualization, Windows and Linux Computing solution engineering and architecture solutions
  • \n
  • Experience with on premise, cloud and hybrid-cloud based deployments
  • \n
  • US citizenship is required; able to obtain and retain federal security clearance
  • \n
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • \n
  • Demonstrated leader with team-oriented interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interface with a broad range of people and roles
  • \n

Desired Qualifications

  • Active Cleared Individual clearance supporting the overall business up to TS/SCI/CI Poly
  • \n
  • CISSP, Virtual Certifications key (DoDD 8570/ DoDD 8140)
  • \n
  • Experience with ITSM and/or ServiceNow
  • \n
  • Comparable VMware certifications, RHCE, MS Certifications, Security Certs in general to IAT/IAM levels 1-3
  • \n
  • Working knowledge of common operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and basic endpoint security principles
  • \n
  • Experience with automation of systems reports and administrative tools
  • \n
  • VMware virtualization both in the standard hypervisor and in VDI
  • \n
